What happens when you mix a sidescrolling platformer with a time changeing twist. Why a game where the hero wears red spandex of course. Viewtiful joe has to be one of the greatest games i've played seince Beyond Good and Evil and Resident Evil 4 (on my top ten list). Viewtiful Joe is one of those rare games that should be game of the year even though it only costs 20 bucks. that's right you can pick this beauty up for a mear 20 bucks (i got it for about 8 bucks used). The game plays like a 2D game, and some of the background objects (like lamp posts) were in 2D. But the lack of full 3D enviroments wasn't a big deal. Plus they have half naked girl billboards in the background in one of the levels. The best part about Viewtiful Joe is that it's for the GCN and PS2. Which most people own at least one. I don't know abou the PS2's controles but the GCN has fluid controles. I expect the PS2's controles to be just as good. The game was fast paced (even in slow mode). So, it's a 5/5.
