Gamers across the globe wait every year for the E3 expo and to see new consoles, games, and periferals. But your wait has just been canceled. E3 is practicly dead. That's right, now it's just some big meeting instead of an expo. It's E3 without demos, video's, and people. It's now a pointless waist of time and a big disapointment for all.
But some good will come out. Nintendo is considering to reopen Nintendo World Sumit (i'm sure that's what it's called) and Microsoft is talking about doing the same thing they did for the 360 launch, which i am sure it was called ground zero. They will be like company specific events. Sony and EA have not made any anoucements.
It was caused by Sony and EA because they didn't like the expenses and droped out saying that they could spread the news for alot less and still make as much of an impact. All the other companies like Nintendo and Microsoft decided to just leave to, becasue Sony and EA were large chuncks of the show (together were about 40%-50%) So mabey the money used to do E3 will now be put towards making better games at cheeper prices.
All in all, I'm not to happy. Yes E3 is expensive, but we have the tokyo game show. The only problem with that is Nintendo only makes Key-note speaches and won't open a booth (they've been like that for a long time) and I don't think Microsoft makes a big impact like Sony does at TGS. So That screws out Nintendo and Microsoft. But if they reopen there own trade shows, they may make an even bigger impact, so they still may be able to make it big.
